Fundamentals teaches isolations and traveling moves with safe technique and proper postural alignment through movement drills and movement combinations. This class improves muscle control, coordination, core strength and flexibility, all necessary for belly dancers. This session will focus on learning a veil choreography. You will need a 3 yard long, 45" wide piece of lightweight chiffon. This class is appropriate for the beginning student as well as the advanced student that wants to review the basics. Middle Eastern Belly Dance can provide a weight bearing aerobic workout without impact as well as muscle toning. Please wear comfortable exercise clothing such as yoga pants or leggings and a form fitting t-shirt or yoga shirt so the instructor can see lower back, torso, and knee positions. Please bring water to drink.

Teenagers 16 and older are accepted in classes, but MUST be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to the first class to fill out paperwork.
