Fundamentals of Middle Eastern Belly Dance

Tired of the same boring workout? Come learn the exciting art of belly dance and get exercise at the same time! Belly dancing strengthens your core muscles and can provide a weight bearing aerobic workout without impact. All body sizes & body types welcome!

Fundamentals teaches you the isolations and traveling moves that make up the basics of belly dance. This class improves muscle control, coordination, and flexibility, all necessary for belly dancers. This class is appropriate for the beginning student as well as the advanced student that wants to review the basics.

Please REGISTER in advance, class size limited to give YOU more personal attention.

Teenagers 16 and older are accepted in classes, but MUST be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to the first class to fill out paperwork.

Payment can be made with cash, money order or check, credit cards are NOT accepted.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY! Class is cancelled if the Parham Road campus of J. Sargeant Reynolds cancels evening classes. We will add the cancelled class to the end of the session.

Please wear comfortable exercise clothing such as yoga pants or leggings and a form fitting t-shirt or yoga shirt so the instructor can see lower back, torso, and knee positions. Please bring water to drink.
